Hello! What did you all do last weekend? We were lucky enough to have my brother in town. He has been to Chicago plenty of times, but we still decided to play tourist for the day.

We began our day at the Art Institute enjoying some of our favorite art. We started in the American Gothic wing working our way to the impressionist wing. Georgia O’Keeffe had some beautiful work. We even picked up one of her prints in the gift shop. I am such a sucker for “souvenirs”, are you guys, too?

Next, we took a walk over to Millennium Park where we enjoyed the blooming tulips and the energy of ALL of the tourists. The Bean was of course full with reflections of people from seemingly everywhere. That’s one of the reasons I love Chicago so very much. It really is a true melting pot.

After the park, we hopped on the bus and headed back to Lakeview to rest up before we all went to dinner. Once dinner hit, I was thrilled! We dined at Fahlstrom’s Fresh Fish Market where I indulged in Alaskan King Crab legs. YUM! Seriously, if you have not been, you need to go. I also need to give my self a few brownie points. I wore white, and somehow managed to keep my white shirt butter free. VICTORY!

Once we finished up dinner, we enjoyed some cocktails. I’m currently on a no drinking kick, so I enjoyed my mocktail. Who came up with the name mocktail I wonder?

Well, I hope you all had a great week and are now enjoying your weekend! Talk soon!
