Hi, it’s Melanie!
Thank you for being here! I am extremely humbled and flattered you are spending some time on “With Love, Melanie”.
I am a mom to Ella and a wife to Trent. Our little family resides in Zionsville, IN but I am a city girl with a dash of coastal girl at heart. Trent and I met in Florida where I grew up. We moved to Chicago in 2013 where we spent 7 years. I love good food- cooking it and eating it. Most mornings you’ll find me in sweats, playing with Ella, cup of coffee in hand. I do work full time, so this platform is truly a creative outlet where I can share our crazy life.
A lot of you have been following along for a while. I’d like to think I am a down to earth girl, who isn’t scared to talk about the hard stuff. Infertility was my hard for a long time, but my new hard is motherhood. Being a mom is my greatest joy, but the hardest job I will ever do. As I grow this community, you will see a lot of motherhood stuff in addition to wellness and our everyday, imperfect life.

Dog… Grace is our new addition. She is a mini-bernedoodle and has truly become Ella’s dog. A lot of you remember Dakota- she passed in 2020 (as if the year wasn’t awful enough).
Married… Since 2015 to Trent- my IG husband
Favorite meal… Brunch or sushi
Go-to-cocktail… Sparkling Rose or a Tito’s cocktail
Fave travel destination… Italy
Can’t live without… My phone (sad but true), sunglasses, my calendar
A life challenge… Infertility…which brought us our miracle + mental health
Something I always say… “anywho” and “you grow through what you go through” and “play the glad game”. #Pollyanna
A few of my favorite things include… ice cream, lattes, Christmas, fresh flowers, pearls, blazers, musicals, ballet (watching and doing), the ocean, the farmers market, my garden and Chicago!
