Netflix Favorites From a Teen

Hi guys! It’s Maddie here (a.k.a. Melanie’s amazing step-daughter).

Summer is one of my all time favorite seasons. Swimming in the pool, going for ice cream, not having to wear a winter coat, I love it all! Until it rains. Summer rain is the worst rain because you can never think of anything to do! Where I live, it has been raining all week. Whomp whomp. So I decided to find some of my favorite old shows and re-watch them!

Grey’s Anatomy- I’m sure you have all heard of this by now but Grey’s is the best show out there! I am not a blood or doctor person by any means, but I still love this show! One thing that I love is the twists and turns. You never know what is going to happen! I always find it so clever how they manage to tie the patiences lives into the doctor’s lives. Grey’s anatomy is a true soap opera. People die, people come back to life, they meet their long lost siblings, they date their unknown sibling, it is absolutely crazy!

Jane the Virgin- I know that the title sounds a little odd, trust me when I started this show I was a little timid as to what I might be getting myself into. However, once I got 20 minutes in, I couldn’t stop watching it! This show is full of plot twists, romance, love triangles, and feel good moments. The mother, daughter relationship is #familygoals.  

Switched at Birth- This show is heart stopping! I got so wrapped up into this show while I was watching it that I literally started learning sign language because I wanted to be able to turn off the captions at the bottom of the screen. That backfired but anyways, this show is a great show to binge watch. This time, there is no love triangle but still lots of romance and plot twists.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt- With all of these dramatic and riveting shows, this light hearted comedy is a great break! Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is honestly one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. All of the characters bring so much fun and comedy to the show. Especially Titus. Though this show does not have many seasons to enjoy it is definitely worth watching.

Heart of Dixie- This heart warming, small town drama is one of my favorite. I’m not kidding, I rewatch it all the time! Not to mention that the main characters aren’t to shabby looking either. But in all honesty this show is full of southern style and flair. As you can guess, this show is full of drama.

Riverdale- Okay so Riverdale is all the rave right now in my age group. I put off watching it for a while but finally caved, and I’m so glad I did! For those of you that don’t know this show is based off of the Archie comic books. I found this show different than some of the ones listed above because it is more of a murder mystery.
