Podcasts Lately

Top-o-the-evening to you! I have recently been commuting into an office more regularly and am always looking for that one inspirational, motivating and simply put, perfect podcast. I am so A.D.D. (not diagnosed…but look…shiny, pretty, a cute puppy…see what I mean). So, I need something that will actually keep my attention and give me an actionable takeaway. The first 5, I have been listening to regularly, and the rest of the list came as recommendations from my readers.

  1. RISE by Rachel Hollis- This is probably my very favorite Podcast! Rachel Hollis is my spirit person. Her real life, actionable tactics make your goals tangible and attainable! It’s a balance of a good kick in the butt along with you can do anything attitude. She is truly inspirational.
  2. The Influencer Podcast- Julie Solomon is another boss babe helping others grow their business. She touches on branding, infeluencer marketing and gives a fresh perspective with great real world examples. She hosts other strong women and gives them a platform to share their stories of success.
  3. Goal Digger- Hands down another favorite. Jenna Kutcher started her now super successful business with $300 and a camera. Her story is truly inspirational, and it feels completely attainable. She is an expert in the field of marketing and building your dream business. The interviews, questions she answers and her bubbly personality make me want to listen for hours.
  4. How I Built This- Gotta love a podcast centered around the stories of how entrepreneurs started their companies. The most recent one I listened to was how Drybar was created. The determination that was necessary and the overcoming of adversity to get to where they are really motivates me.
  5. Juicy Scoop- Another recommendation, but I haven’t had a chance to listen yet. After reading the highlights, it looks like it will be purely entertaining and fun! Heather McDonald is a stand-up comedian who covers pop-culture, Hollywood, Bravo TV and also her own life. She won’t hold back, from what I read, and will give you the “Juicy Scoop”.
  6. Getting Curious with JVN- This was recommended from a good friend and being a Queer Eye fan, I will soon give it a try. It’s basically a weekly exploration of all the things Jonathan Van Ness (Queer Eye, Gay of Thrones) is curious about. Jonathan and experts in their respective fields look into things they get curious about, and I guess there isn’t much of a filter. I am sure it is a good time…maybe too good for the bus ride.
  7. Dear Sugars- I haven’t listened to this one as much, but it was recommended by 2 of my friends. It is a NYT podcast with rave reviews. Here is an explanation from the website. “The universe has good news for the lost, lonely and heartsick. “Dear Sugars” is here, speaking straight into your ears. Hosted by the original “Sugars,” Cheryl Strayed and Steve Almond, the podcast fields all your questions — no matter how deep or dark — and offers radical empathy in return.”

I am always looking for additional recommendations. If you got em’, I am all ears. Happy Friday everyone! Have a great weekend!!!
